The Member of Parliament (MP) for Bolgatanga Central, Isaac Adongo, has jabbed President Akufo-Addo over the current economic hardship in the country.
According to him, the economic hardship is due to government’s failure to fulfill its numerous promises made to Ghanaians during the 2016 election campaign promises.
Speaking at the inauguration of the National Democratic Congress’ constituency youth wing at Oforikrom in Kumasi, Isaac Adongo said, “The economic downturn in the country demands that, this year’s Christmas be postponed to 2019.”
“The New Patriotic Party (NPP) government failed to fulfil the numerous promises it made to Ghanaians and has been bedevilled with allegations of corruption.” He told members of the party.
Former President John Dramani Mahama, while addressing some supporters of the opposition NDC after submitting his nomination form to contest for the party’s flag bearer race, said that this year’s Christmas will be the driest for most Ghanaians due to the poor economic management by the ruling NPP.
He said the NPP government has plunged the country into ‘’excruciating economic difficulties.’’
