Ghanaian rapper Michael Owusu Addo known in showbiz as Sarkodie has opened up on the ongoing saga surrounding gold trading company, Menzgold. The BET award-winner in a tweet sighted by YEN.com.gh said that the Chief Executive Officer of Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah, has the country at heart and would not dubiously deceive the populace.
The Tema-based rapper admitted that he might not know the actual operations of the firm but he is optimistic that Nana Appiah Mensah is a clean businessman. “One man doing the most for our beloved country knowing him personally he genuinely cares about the country’s progress … might not know the ins and outs but one thing is for sure – the Nam1 mission is for a better Ghana Bless Appiah.”
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in a letter, directed Menzgold to halt trading in the gold collectables.
