Multiple award-winning dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, has admitted that he has a sizable investment in embattled gold trading company, Menzgold Ghana Limited. Shatta Wale, who is signed onto Zylofon Media, the entertainment company owned by Menzgold Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nana Appiah Mensah, indicated that he was “very much” into the business when asked if he had invested in the company. “I’m very much [into investment]. I’m number one, the whole Ghana,” he added. Menzgold heeded to SEC and suspended its gold vault activities and dividend payments earlier in September and promised to resume work on September 19. However, a communication coming from Menzgold revealed that inconclusive talks with SEC was going to result in an extension of their suspension to September 28. Following the issues surrounding the gold hub, award-winning journalist, Israel Laryea, came out with a video report about findings he made from the Menzgold branch in UK.
