The second edition of the event that brought together young people of the Volta Regional capital, Ho, is slated for 5th of January Next year.
The event which saw youngsters from some subdivisions of the capital battling it out on the dancefloor for the ultimate crown which eventually went to the dance warriors from Zongo, is supposed to set the capital on "fire" again with varieties of performances and people from all walks of life thronging to the venue to inquire about the cause.
Rep Your Hood Dance battle which is an idea of Mr. Sorsis Freeman; the CEO of Loyce Entertainment is to offer that platform to young people to unearth their talents, sharpen their skills and develop new ones in the creative craft.
The event which is absolutely one of the perfect starters of a new year, has seen various changes, perhaps an upgrade in the way the event is hosted and what should constitute appropriate interludes such as, musical performances from the Region's finest music arts and other forms of entertaining activities apart from the contest itself.
DJ YAMMY and SELLALLY are designated to host the event and many have described the pairing as perfect in that, they both are part of the few rising young presenters plying their armature trade with Kuul 103.5 FM and Global 105.1 fm respectively. Aside DJ YAMMY being a presenter and a drive time host for that matter, she is also the leading outdoor female DJ in the capital.
SELLALLY on the other hand is known more for hosting events of all kinds and is expected to be at his best on the night. When asked what should funs and audience expect from them, he said, "Dj YAMMY and myself have that chemistry going on and it is just going to be that public exposure of an understanding between two gifted fellows of the same industry. Events become successful when the emcees portray some level of chemistry in coordinating the activities".
Nufodjo Park behind the STC YARD Civic Centre is the venue for event. There will be HIV & Aids education and sexual reproductive health talks,remember health is wealth. Registration and rehearsal session for participants are still in progress.
