World's Largest Airplane takes its First Fly

The Stratolaunch – the world's largest plane has completed its first ever taxi on a runway. It reached a speed of 40 knots or 46 mph.

The aircraft has a twin-fuselage setup and a wingspan that is 385 feet from tip to tip. It is conducting taxi tests at the Mojave Air and Space Port, reports Popular Mechanics. Stratolaunch was first brought to the runway in December where it reached 25 knots. That, however, was not a taxi test, rather, a test to see if the vehicle was able to move using its own engines.

While seeing an aircraft of this size move at those speeds is impressive, the report says that its six engines will have to at least double its current speed if it hopes to take off and fly, beating gravity. Stratolaunch is being built to act as an air-launch vehicle platform. It will carry up to three rockets into the stratosphere and drop them after which they will ignite and go into orbit. Funded by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen who believes that once it is ready, it will act as a cheap way to launch satellites into space.

Reports according to the media last night indicates that, a video of a mortuary personnel fondling and touching the dead body of the Late Dance Hall songstress Ebony was on the round causing panic and fear in those who chanced on it.

First Lady made patron of SOS Children's Village Ghana

The First Lady has today formally accepted her appointment as the Patron of SOS Children’s Villages Ghana by SOS Board at a ceremony at SOS’ Tema Community Six Children’s Village. In her acceptance speech, Rebecca Akufo-Addo expressed gratitude to the organization for the honour.

She assured them she will do her best to bring to bear on her new role her decades of experience in working to improve the well-being of children, especially through her two Foundations. Mrs Akufo-Addo said working with children “is her life’s passion” and her two foundations, Infanta Malaria Prevention and The Rebecca Foundations, have provided her with “the structure and focus to do even more for children.”


According to her, in the course of her work with children, she has seen pain, dejection, neglect and gross abuse of children. However, she noted she has seen hope, joy, recovery and a second chance given to a child because somebody stood to make a difference in the life of a child.

Suspected Robbers KILLED a 67 years old Man, NEARLY RAPED Daughter.

Robbery in Ghana has become so rampant that I wonder if we will make it to heaven.A 67-year-old man has died after some armed men crushed his head with a concrete slab during an attack at his Oyibi residence in Accra.



The daughter of the deceased told Joy News the men repeatedly hit his father with the slab until blood oozed out of his head and was unable to stand on his feet.

He died hours after the robbery, she told Joy News' Maxwell Agbagba Tuesday, adding she was stripped naked and was nearly raped by one of the robbers. But for the appeal by one of the robbers, she would have been raped, she added.

The tragic incident is one of the 24 robberies carried out by armed groups at Oyibi and surrounding communities since the start of this year.


Residents say they are living in constant fear because the police administration has done little to protect them against the robbers who are becoming more vicious by the day.


But Joy News' police sources have revealed the nature of the roads in the communities has affected patrol activities there.

Recounting how her 67-year-old dad was killed, the lady whose identity has been kept, said her dad was trying to prevent goats from entering his compound when the armed robbers attacked.

'They beat him until blood started oozing out from his head,' she said. According to her, she could not bear the sight of her father go through that pain so she decided to go to his rescue.

She said she went outside and knelt before the men to spare the life of her father but the men continued to beat him and later ransacked their rooms in search of money.

The woman said they had withdrawn some money from the ATM on that fateful day, so she directed her other sibling to hand everything to the men.

But not satisfied with the amount, one of the robbers had other plans. She was instructed to remove her dress, an order she could not refuse. One of the robbers tried to rape her 'but he was told to leave me alone,' she said.

The shock of being attacked in the privacy of their home has left the family shaken and terrified so much that they cannot sleep in the night.

Medical Says he feels so Bad When People don't talk of Him

I now understand why most of our celebrities do things to be talked of.Rapper Medikal has said in a recent interview that he is not worried when he is criticised for what he does.

According to him, he believes criticism makes him better and because of that he feels bad when people don’t talk about him.

“Criticisms don’t stress me. Just as battery is positive and negative I need it all to fuel my fire. It doesn’t let me down. I need it in my system. If no one is talking about me I feel bad…” he told Andy Dosty on Hitz FM.

Ebony Had No Fight With Mzvee - Ebony's Manager

Ricky Nana Agyeman commonly known as Bullet who doubles as the CEO of Ruff Town Records has reacted to claims by section of the public on a perceived feud between late Afro dancehall act Ebony Reigns and Lynx Entertainment signee MzVee.

In an interview, Ricky Nana Agyeman, record label boss of the Poison hit maker said “There was no beef between Ebony and MzVee to the best of my knowledge. Both artiste had a song which is not out there.”

MzVee in an earlier interview with Andrew Tandoh Adote on the Tonight show also debunked that rumour.

“A lot of these bloggers and writers, journalist do these because they want many readers so they put up very very crazy headlines so they get readers but it is not fair to someone like me because it actually crashes me. It used to really worry me,”

Kwabenya jailbreak Court rejects bail application by Kwabenya cell breakers

The court, presided over by His Lordship  Justice Aboagye Tandoh, held that it was best to deny the suspects bail in order to protect them.

A bail application filed on behalf of the ten accused persons involved in the Kwabenya cell break case has been rejected by an Accra Circuit Court.

The court, presided over by His Worship Justice Aboagye Tandoh, held that it was best to deny the suspects bail in order to protect them.

Justice Tandoh said although the accused are entitled to bail, the interests of the state must come first in such circumstances.

He argued that the trial cannot also delay further at the expense of the human rights of the accused.

He further urged the prosecutor, Superintendent Kweku Bempah, to speed up his investigations so that the case can be swiftly concluded.

Justic Tandoh subsequently adjourned the trial of the accused to March 9, 12, 14 and 15.

A gang of armed men stormed the Kwabenya District Police Headquarters on January 21 to free some suspected armed robbers who were in custody.

“I worried less about my health. All I wanted was to have fun. My friends and I were in a night club in the town every day looking for girls.

“In all, I slept with more than 1,400 girls in six different African countries. I have all their pictures in my photo album, including the dates we met, their names and phone numbers. I opened a Facebook account only for them.

Shocking: Reasons why Nigerians are always found in Chinese Prisons

Mr Wale Oloko, the Consul-General of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Guangzhou, China,on Monday said that many Nigerians were in various Prisons in Guangdong Province for overstaying their visas. 

Oloko told Newsmen  in Lagos that some other Nigerians were also arrested for engaging in drug trafficking and other criminal offences that had led to their detention.

 Prison According to him, there are currently about 600 Nigerians arrested for overstaying their visas and in detention for other offences. 

“There is no doubt that there are currently a number of Nigerians in various Chinese prisons, at least those under our consular jurisdiction in Guangzhou. “’


These our nationals are in different Chinese prisons for various offences.
 “There are those that were arrested for overstaying their visas, while others were convicted for drug trafficking and other offences,’’ he said.

 Oloko also said that some the Nigerian nationals currently in Chinese prisons were being prepared for deportation to Nigeria.

 The consul-general, therefore, enjoined Nigerians desirous of visiting any part of China to always obey the Chinese immigration and general laws when in the province or other provinces in China. “Any Nigerian wanting to visit any part of China must first know something about the country’s immigration requirements, and should be ready to obey laws in such places when they eventually arrive there.


 “It is not advisable for any Nigerian to overstay his or her visa in any part of China or engage in any form of criminal act,’’ he said. Guangdong is a province in South China, located on the South China Sea coast. 

The province surpassed Henan and Sichuan to become the most populous province in China in January 2005, registering 79.1 million permanent residents and 31 million migrants.

He refused to truly give me the money. Two (2) days to my mother’s surgery, I contacted an Ex-boyfriend for help. I asked him to loan me GHs 25, 000. I was in my time of the month, I couldn’t have sex. I explained it to him, but he told me the offer was available for One (1) day. I had the worst experience of my life in my period, for GHs 25, 000. Mum died Two (2) weeks after the surgery. That was when I also found out about my husband, renting a two-bedroom apartment for a University girl he was sleeping with.

Every month, in my period, in memory of the torture I had to go through to make GHs 25, 000. In memory of my mother, I specially prepare my husband’s favorite Fufu and Palm-nut Soup with my menses. When I watch him eat it, I feel at peace. Sometimes, those Pepper and Sugar them ministries ain’t even relevant. You rather keep them menzed in the blood.”
