In a tweet the comedian said “So now @shattawalegh deny we Ghanaians to call himself a Naija boy? This is betrayal…I’m very disappointed”

Reaching out to the comedian for comments about his tweet, he told Fenuku Augustine blog “I am very disappointed at Shatta Wale for calling himself a Naija boy. This is not to say Nigerian is our enemy, but we are in the same ship fighting for the same things for our industry. It is not fair for him to call himself a Naija boy when Ghanaians were behind him after the incident. It is a stab in the back and I am very disappointed”

We are yet to hear from Shatta Wale on this particular issue.

So now @shattawalegh deny we Ghanaians to call himself a Naija boy?

Bola Ray Blasts Shatta Wale severely

According to Ghanapoliticians.com, He described the action of the controversial musician as terribly bad, uncalled for, uncultured and roundly condemned it.
Few days ago, a video of Shatta Wale was posted online in which the artiste is seen shooting a gun while mentioning the names of top Nigerians artistes Wizkid, Patoranking and Timaya.
Entertainment Critics say his unfortunate action could spark unnecessary tension between Ghanaian and Nigerian artistes and in the process mar the unity that has existed between musicians from the two West Africa countries.
Speaking on Starr FM while he hosting Nigerian Multiple award-winning Nigerian Afropop singer and songwriter, Yemi Alade Wednesday, Bola Ray revealed that he personally called up Shatta Wale and rebuked him for his action.

Together with Kwami Sefa Kayi for 30 minutes we were on the phone with him and I think that is so bad, uncalled for, uncultured and I condemn it. Yes he says he’s going to apologize and I’m waiting for him to do that. I don’t mince words and I’m saying it for the first time on radio that, I did that. I didn’t mince words at all and I think that from how he came about, he was remorseful about it and says he was just…but I won’t go into details.”
Kwami Sefa Kayi and Bola Ray and are two great media personalities who Shatta Wale has immense respect for, and this is not the first time the duo have publicly condemned and advised him.
The first, was when they slammed him live on Peace FM when Shatta Wale had issues with Mark Okraku Mantey and colleague musician Yaa Pono.

Being ‘born one’ has ruined my love life – Joselyn Dumas

Media personality and screen goddess Joselyn Dumas comes off as a hardworking, easy-going and classy personality.

She has often been in the news because of her body which turns heads to her direction and tongues wagging.

With such a well-endowed woman, it assumed and expected that she would bag many proposals from men in a day. But Ms. Dumas has disclosed that that is not so in her case.

According to her, she is finding it hard to catch a soul mate at age thirty-seven.

One reason being that she already has a child, commonly called ‘Born One’ in the local parlance.

Joselyn made this revelation on her new TV show ‘Keeping It Real With Joselyn Dumas’ on GHOne over the weekend.

She narrated how she had at a point in time fallen deeply in love with one of her suitors.

However, just when her hope of settling down with her ‘love’ was soaring high; she received news that shattered her marriage dreams with him.

He told her that he couldn’t get married to her because she already has a child, Ms. Dumas said. In our part of the world, ‘born ones’ are ridiculed. A woman is not spared castigation from the society for having a child out of wedlock.

For Joselyn Dumas, her love life has been ruined.

She further stated that being a single mother has not been easy. But the close bond she shares with her daughter has been her motivation.

And for the lesson learnt, Joselyn said before beginning any new relationship, she informs the partner that she is already a mother of one. This, she said, would save her from heartbreak.

Josely Dumas was a TV host with former Viasat One television station before joining GHOne to host her new show. She has starred in movies such as ‘Adams Apples’ ‘A sting in a tale’, ‘Family ties’ and others.

'I failed KABA.....His death does not make sense- Kweku Baako Cries

Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Kweku Baako has reacted to the death of ace broadcaster and presenter, Kwadwo Asare Baffuor Acheampong, popularly known as KABA, saying his demise "doesn't make sense".

KABA was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital where he had been rushed after he suddenly fell sick early Saturday, November 18.

He was 37 years old.

Until his death, KABA was the host of Asempa FM's political show, 'Ekosi Sen'.

He is survived by his wife, Valentina Ofori Afriyie and a seven-month-old baby.

Contributing to a panel discussion on Wednesday’s edition of ‘Kokrokoo’ on PEACE FM, Kweku Baako expressed heartbreak over the fact that he was never able to appear on KABA’s show as planned.

“…he calls me an absentee panelist; people didn’t understand why he often read my messages and so I had an arrangement with him to appear on his show and I kept postponing and so I failed him on that score…it’s very painful but God knows best…too young to go and it just doesn’t make sense,” he said.

Describing KABA's death as tragic, the Seasoned Journalist also found it "interesting how bad old ones like Allotey (Allotey Jacobs, Central Regional NDC Chairman) and himself (Kweku Baako) are alive and the young ones are dying but God knows best.…"

Mugabe finally resigns as president of Zimbabwe!

Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe has resigned, parliament speaker Jacob Mudenda has said.

A letter from Mr Mugabe said that the decision was voluntary and that he had made it to allow a smooth transition of power.

The surprise announcement halted an impeachment hearing that had begun against him.

Lawmakers roared in jubilation and people have begun celebrating in the streets.

Mr Mudenda said moves were under way to ensure a new leader could take over by late on Wednesday.

UK Prime Minister Theresa May said Mr Mugabe's resignation "provides Zimbabwe with an opportunity to forge a new path free of the oppression that characterised his rule".

She said that Britain, "as Zimbabwe's oldest friend", will do all it can to support free and fair elections and the rebuilding of the Zimbabwean economy.

Prominent Zimbabwean opposition politician David Coltart tweeted: "We have removed a tyrant but not yet a tyranny".

Robert Mugabe has been in power since independence in 1980. Mr Mugabe has won elections, but over the past 15 years these have been marred by violence against political opponents.

He has presided over a deepening economic crisis in Zimbabwe, where people are on average 15% poorer now than they were in 1980.

"I am the happiest person under the sun right now, because I always believed that Mugabe was going to step down in my lifetime and it has happened," human rights activist Linda Masarira told the BBC.

1964: Imprisoned by Rhodesian government

You don't believe in God if you criticize what I do - Ebony

Most talked-about female Ghanaian musician, Ebony Reigns, has said that she pays no attention to her critics.

The "Poison' hit maker believes God is the one behind her success in the Music Industry. Ebony, for some time now has been under pressure from Ghanaians. She has come under a barrage of criticisms mainly because of her stage performances and obscene modes of dressing.

Some of her colleague musicians have not been left out in rebuking Ebony for showing too much flesh. But speaking in an interview on Happy FM, Ebony disclosed that she takes no notice of those criticisms.

The ‘Sponsor’ hit maker said she obtains her strength and talent from God, and that is all that matters to her and her career. Ebony revealed that she is a very spiritual person who does not joke with her spiritual activities aside doing music.

According to her, she takes her daily prayers and payment of tithe seriously; even though she is not regular at church. She refuted claims by some people that she engages the services of fetish priest, what is commonly known as ‘juju’, to boost her career.

Rather, Ebony, who proudly refers to herself as ‘Original 90s Bad Girl’ averred that God is the success behind her career. Therefore if anyone criticizes her talent, then that person is in effect criticizing God, she added. She also cleared the air on rumours that she is in the habit of smoking prior to a performance which makes her ‘misbehave’ on stage.

She said “I don’t smoke to perform. God gives me the strength and the crowds cheers help me to perform satisfactorily.” “If you criticize what I do then you don’t believe in God,” Ebony concluded.

OMG! Mahama can't win 2020 elections? check out why

Former President Mahama’s dream of becoming president again in 2020 will end in a big disappointment for him, ace journalist, Abdul Malik Kwaku Baako, has predicted.

He said no matter how hard Mr. Mahama would campaign, the electorate would reject him once again in 2020 when the nation goes to the polls to select the next president.

Mr. Baako, however, predicted that the former president would easily be retained as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer when the party selects its next presidential candidate.

The Crusading Guide Editor, who is noted for his frankness, stated that those who are of the belief that Mahama would be defeated in the NDC presidential primaries should revise their notes, saying that his opponents would be no match for him.

“John Dramani Mahama would win the upcoming NDC presidential primaries on a silver platter because none of his competitors have what it takes to defeat him. He will, however, lose the 2020 presidential elections and that is a fact”, the seasoned journalist stated confidently on Peace FM.

He was among panellists discussing whether Mahama has the wherewithal to become the NDC flagbearer again.

He was of the strong view that Mr. Mahama cannot return the NDC into power in 2020, “in spite of the massive endorsement from his party’s delegates”.

The editor is one of the most experienced journalists in the country. Several award-winning journalists that the country can boast of have either passed through his hands or tapped his knowledge.

With his wide range of experience, Kwaku Baako is noted for giving creditable predictions about the outcome of elections in Ghana, hence observers believe his assessment of Mahama and the NDC cannot be ignored.

The “Ayoo” singer, who was a guest on Kasapa FM’s ‘Aben Wo Ho’ show hosted by Gattuso said disclosing his wealth to the public is to motivate his followers to believe in themselves that they can also achieve that same status through hard work.

According to him, many individuals said humiliating things about him when he began his dance hall music in 2013 but because he was focused on achieving his dream he wasn’t swayed by the discouraging comments and that is what has made him superstar.

“I started driving my fathers’s Pajero and E Class Benz at the age of 14 but I never boasted because of my father’s wealth so why now. What I’ve learnt in life is that if as human I allow pride to take centre stage in my life, I believe in no time, God will relegate me.

“When I started this dancehall music in 2013, people said so many things about my downfall in the industry but God has given me this talent that should Ghanaian accept it, we will all enjoy in this country with one great superstar. I’m bringing my house out because I want people to feel motivated. I’ve two houses now, one at East Legon, ‘Menpe Asem’.”

Edem's reasons will make you feel sorry for him. He says he's underrated and marginalized.

According to myjoyonline.com, rapper Edem says he has been marginalised and underrated over the years because he hails from the Volta Region.
The rapper, born Denning Edem Hotor, is of the strong conviction that he is often paid less in the industry because of where he comes from.
The CEO of Volta Regime Music Group (VRMG) who hails from Dzodze in the Volta Region made the comments during an interview on Behind the Fame on Drive Time on Joy FM with Lexis Bill.

“I feel underrated, at a point I feel we are doing much more than we are credited for…I’ve been marginalised but it just doesn’t get to me,” he explained.
To buttress his point, Edem said, “we’ve signed deals before where I was the least paid because I am from Volta Region and they pass comments like ‘your place is not big’.”

“Companies don’t want to go to my Region,” he stressed but noted that, there are only but a handful of events such as Miss Ghana and Ghana’s Most Beautiful that tours the Region because they are national events.
“You’ve never seen Mentor go to my Region to do talent search, you’ve never seen Stars of the Future scout anybody in my Region,” he said.
Edem believes that dialoguing on such issues is the way forward so "people change their perception."

“So with this platform, Mr President, I want you to build a stadium in my Region. It’s quite important when I go to Volta Region, I don’t have a stadium for my people to play football so President Akufo-Addo, my name is Edem I need you to build a stadium in my region,” he appealed.

Following Shatta Wale’s visit to the Flagstaff House to meet President Akufo-Addo, the rapper concluded that, “also, I know you are a fair father so next year is my birthday so I will expect an invite,” and “I want a Lexus.”

Shatta Wale with so so bragging! Check out what he told Dr. Pounds after giving her mum a car

Everyone knows Shatta Wale to be one who is always blowing his own trumpet.

Self proclaimed ‘dancehall king’ Shatta Wale has spoken out on his net worth and according to him, he’s worth over $10m.

Wale is without question one of the best selling artists in Ghana and he commands huge fees for shows, but it’s never been clear exactly how much he’s now worth since his reincarnation.

Straight from the horse’s own mouth, however, Wale values himself in the region of ten million bucks.

“I am worth over ten million dollars. I have an eight bedroom mansion with swimming pool. I have seven super cars…” Wale told Dr Pounds on Hitz Fm.

The ‘Taking Over’ hitmaker dashed his mum a brand new car on Monday and outdoored his new mansion, lending credence to his claims of unmatched wealth.

Kwaw Kese would disagree though — Abodam maintains the claims of wealth most Ghanaian artists claim are fictitious.

Aww God! Check out a terrible thing that happened to more than 70 Ghanaian workers at surfline

Seeking job and sustaining it over a period of time has been the headache of most Ghanaians.

Surfline Ghana has laid off about 70 workers in a large cleansing as the company tries to rein in costs, GhanaCelebrities.Com has learned.

The 4G Internet Service Provider which is the preserve of the well to do (the DSTV of telcos) are reportedly eager to reduce the cost of operations and has therefore implemented this drastic decision.

A source tells GhanaCelebrities.Com that circa 70 workers were fired abruptly and have been directed to come in on the 15th of November for their severance packages. The company is mostly maintaining National Service Personnell/Graduate Trainees who are paid far less than the experienced main staff who have been shown the door.

After weeks of competing for the crown of the Ghana's Most Beautiful this year, the time came for someone to be evicted (to be sent home).

The unfortunate thing happened to the Volta Region's representative,  Edem that got her to be evicted on sunday, the 6th of November 2017.

She did all she could but it seems the Region is not in her support.

There were issues about the credibility of her representing the region since she couldn't qualify for the top 3 during their auditions  but was said to have been smuggled into the contest.

A lot of people are happy she got evicted for the above reasons. GHpride.com gathered some photos for our readers.

Darkwah Kyei -Darkwah, a model and alleged son of popular Ghanaian broadcaster Kwasi Kyei Darkwah ( KKD) , has opened up about being gay on a digital magazine — intomore .com — and says he had a difficult time coming out about his sexuality .

He has, however , gone past that stage in his life . He currently doesn ’ t feel the need to conform to anybody ’s standard in terms of sexuality .
“ The moment I realised I was gay happened in primary school. Someone called me gay as an insult and I responded with “so what ?” I was totally fine with it, but others weren ’ t and that was when the discomfort and shame with my sexuality started ,” he told intomore .com .
He was featured on the website alongside other gay models with African backgrounds on issues they face as queer people of colour .
“ Living under my parents’ roof, I was constantly hiding . I’d get home from school and be incredibly quiet , helpful and obedient. I stayed in my room most of the time. I was playing the role of the ‘ ideal son ’ so I could just skate by unnoticed . It wasn’ t until I was no longer living at home that I started to realise I wasn’ t anyone or anything I’ d known so far in my life ,” he said.
“ I went through a lot of ups and downs , trying out new ways of dressing, trying out new friendship groups, and reinventing myself over and over again . I realise I did this because I was still trying to fit in a box – the stylish black guy , the cool and macho black guy , the femme, flamboyant and fun black guy . None worked because there is a lot more to me ( and any person for that matter ) than a stereotype . I am now very comfortable with my sexuality because I don ’ t feel I need to conform to any one image , ” he added .
Meanwhile , back home in Ghana , being gay comes with grave challenges . It’s not accepted by majority and there ’ s being moves to criminalise homosexuality .
The Speaker of Parliament , Mike Ocquaye Jnr , was recently reported have lashed out at human rights group – Amnesty International – who called on him to relax his stance on gay rights .

Bid to aborlish bride price in Zimbabwe

According to a report by BBC, a female lawyer in Zimbabwe has mounted a legal challenge to abolish lobola, or the bride price, saying it is an outdated practice which reduces women to mere "properties", the state-run Herald newspaper reports.

Priccilar Vengesai believes that if the custom is maintained, the families of both the bride and groom should pay lobola in the interest of gender equality, the newspaper adds.

She has filed papers in Zimbabwe's highest court, the Constitutional Court, asking it to hear her case on the grounds that the practice violates her rights as a citizen.

The newspaper quotes Ms Vengesai as saying that she wants to re-marry, and does not want her experience in a previous marriage to be repeated:

"I did not participate in the pegging of the lobola price. I was never given a chance to ask for the justification of the amounts which were paid.

"This whole scenario reduced me to a property whereby a price tag was put on me by my uncles and my husband paid.

"This demoralised me and automatically subjected me to my husband’s control since I would always feel that I was purchased.

"I belong to the Shona tribe and I intend to enter into marriage as soon as this matter is concluded.

"Under the Shona culture, lobola must be paid for a woman before the marriage is acceptable in the family and the society.

In scenarios where lobola is not paid, parents and relatives of the bride would not allow the parties to legalise their marriage under the Marriage Act."

A heart touching letter from an NPP man to his unborn child

Dear unborn child,

Today, expect not the usual fatherly letters I send you periodically. I live in fear, my body cringes as I try hard to place my trembling phalanges on the keyboard. My atmosphere is best described as ghastly.

You are 36 weeks in utero today. My ambivalent mood is not good for celebration. However, I must congratulate you for the victory you chalked exactly 36wks ago today. You won a race amongst your peers, of over 300million spermatozoa. I'm not oblivious of the dangers you went through. Not only did you win a race; you overcame the slippery acidic medium to strike the ovum.

In a couple of weeks, you may navigate your way out of foetal life. Please! I have an appeal to make. Keep my appeal as sacrosanct as the promises of Jesus Christ to his followers. Is not my intention to flood you with sermon this morning. But Christ the everlasting Messiah, the son of Joseph ......Errrr Son of God said He will come back for his servants. I don't know if Judas will make it to the final list? As for me and my family, we are in a comfortable lead. What is certain is that his coming is imminent Even the blind can see it. The lepers can feel it too.

My dear unborn child, my appeal is short like Funny Face's sexual threshold. Just 2minutes of your time will do. PLEASE DO NOT COME NOW. At least take a cue from the Son of Joseph and stay in longer.

Our country is not safe. The president seems not to have the muscle to crash these hooligans. The police say, their hands are tired. The clergy says they are not safe any longer.

The immediate past president says the silence of the moralists in our society is tragic. The list is countless. The only worrying part is the deafening silence from my mentor: a one time "Jnr Jesus” H.E JJ Rawlings. I wish he "booms." Could it be that the original KB report has kept the Oldman busy? Even Dr Valerie Sawyerr has resurrected from her nearly tragic epistle to condemn same..

In case, you defy my appeal and want to come, please, come as a TESCON member or better still come with NPP colours around your neck. As long as George Ayisi Boateng remains a Diplomat, you may be denied a sterile warm wrap in the hands of lily-livered midwives.

My second appeal is for you to be courageous like His Excellency Nana Addo, have humour like Akua Donkor, Ultimately, have a vision and speak like the former President H E JM. By this, you get a clue of what I want from you in this turbulent world? Please come as a politician.

My job as a medical practitioner is not yielding dividends compared to that, a classmate of mine. He is the representative of the government in the village now. He rules, that part of the country. He spends our taxes. He tells us when to sleep and wake up.

Your father's job only gives him fame amongst his peers and the community. If you want, call it showmanship. In reality, however, I struggle to pay the bills. I have less time for your mum. The kids in the ward see the devil in me. My best friend is the "scalpel”, I use to harvest diseased organs.

Come as a politician. And in case you make your way to the Presidency, do not employ your family and friends. Do not preside over lawlessness, corruption etc. Please do away with any form of forces.

We currently have delta forces, invincible forces, kyebi forces etc. The country is OK with the Ghana Armed forces

Hello! Dr.

Hi! Nurse in charge

Nurse: we have an emergency case.

Dr: What case is it?

Nurse: A 36weeks G6p5 with abruptio placentae.

Dr: Please call the anaesthetist. I'm on my way to the theatre.

My dear unborn child, I have emailed you the latest technological APP we have in Ghana. Even Trump's America, UK and Germany can't dare us.

It is called the ghanapostgps app. Hahahahahhaha.

Locate me anytime, anywhere. Any question about it efficiency, cost, safety, value for money ask the beauty queen turned minister.

Bye! I am off to work.
